Mirobuilds HIC-1 VR Conditioning Board Replacement – OBD1 Honda/Acura (1992–1995)
Solve CEL codes 4, 8, and 9 for good!
The factory HIC-1 VR conditioning board inside OBD1 Honda/Acura ECUs (P06, P28, P30, and similar models) is a common failure point. When this board fails, it can cause ignition problems and trigger check engine light codes for TDC (4), CKP (8), and CYP (9) — even if your distributor is functioning correctly.
This replacement board from Mirobuilds is built to identical specifications as the original “NY1-CG” board, ensuring a direct fit and restoring proper VR signal conditioning. Installing this board resolves signal issues and brings your ECU back to reliable operation.
Compatible With:
- 1992–1995 Honda/Acura OBD1 ECUs (P06, P28, P30, etc.)
- Direct replacement for HIC-1 (NY1-CG) boards
Symptoms Fixed:
- Check Engine Light codes 4, 8, 9 (TDC, CKP, CYP)
- Ignition misfires or no-start conditions caused by failed HIC-1 board
Disclaimer:
Professional installation is highly recommended. This part requires soldering and should only be installed by someone experienced in ECU repair or electronics. Incorrect installation can cause damage to the ECU.
